Description
Friar John Cor Chapter III is the latest release in a distinguished single malt series honouring the 15th-century monk behind the earliest written record of Scotch whisky. Matured in a trio of ex-Bourbon, Amontillado Sherry, and Pedro Ximénez casks, then married in refill Sherry butts, it delivers exceptional depth and harmony.
Bottled at 60.2% abv, this mahogany-hued whisky opens with aromas of vanilla, treacle, honey, and orchard fruits. The palate is smooth yet complex, revealing layers of caramel, dark syrup, raisins, chocolate, and vibrant spice. It finishes long and warming with lingering notes of cinnamon, fruit, and chocolate fudge.
