Description
This spirit spent 15 years maturing in ex-bourbon casks, developing the honeyed richness and waxy depth the distillery is known for, before a two-year finish in rare Vino de Naranja casks (a fortified wine made with sun-dried orange peel and aged in a traditional solera system).
The result, bottled at 53.6% abv without added colour or chill filtration, is a deep gold whisky with freshly peeled orange zest, marmalade, dried apricots, honey, and toasted almonds on the nose, a palate of tangy citrus, stone fruits, sultanas, and orange blossom honey, and a zesty finish with lingering orange peel and soft oak.
