Description
This limited edition blended Scotch comes from The Tweeddale Whisky range, inspired by the cellar book of Richard Day, a Borders blender of the early 20th century. This 28 year old is the oldest expression in the range to date and combines classic Speyside single malts with a Lowland single grain whisky. The nose has juicy black fruits, with cherries and plums and just a touch of lemon icing sugar. The palate is big and full with Christmas cake, blackcurrant and pear notes, with a sweet fruity quality reminiscent of mulled wine. The finish has a definite American oak influence with a hint of milk chocolate.
