An exceptional twelve-year-old Glen Elgin. This bottling by Duncan Taylor is an exclusive to The Whisky Shop. Part of The Octave series, this expression was distilled in 2010 and matured for twelve years in oak casks before enjoying a finish for eight months in an octave. Just 58 bottles have been produced.
This is a unique and intricate dram. The nose gives hints of fresh mint and pipe tobacco. The palate is one of fresh figs, double chocolate milkshake, and salted popcorn. Expect a finish full of sherried sweetness and toasted marshmallows. A delight.
