This has a flavour that soars above the clouds. It takes a Dutch style rye spirit as its base, before combining a host of botanicals from around the world such as juniper, lavender, and exotic spices, which are steeped in the grain spirit before they are redistilled. Aviation Gin like to think outside of the box and has a host of high-name Hollywood celebrities that share its passion for smooth, eminently drinkable gin.
The nose gives fresh juniper, parma violets, and a surprising earthiness. Spices comes through onto the palate, giving it a balance with the floral notes. The finish is sharp, with citrus peel and exotic spices coming to the fore. The expression pairs back the juniper content, giving way to the other variety of botanicals. It is so smooth that it can easily fly solo, or take any mixed drink to new heights.
