This limited edition from The GlenDronach distillery is crafted from a small number of Pedro Ximenez and Oloroso sherry casks, laid down in 1993 and matured for a quarter of a century before bottling. Sherry casks laid down in 1993 have received high praise from malt aficionados and this limited edition 1993 vintage Highland single malt demonstrates profound depth and complexity.The nose is rich with notes of brandy-laced fruitcake, marzipan, smoked walnuts and toasted sultana bread. The palate opens with cocoa-dusted sultana brioche, with coffee and orange zest notes emerging before a long and velvety note of rich cocoa and dates in the finish.
