Description
Following on from the 2020 inaugural Warehouse 1 release, this Tokaji Finish from Glen Moray is the first of three releases scheduled for 2021.
The first expression is a spectacularly sweet bottling of five casks of Glen Moray distilled in 2005 and matured for over 15 years, first in ex-bourbon casks before being finished in casks having previously held Hungarian Tokaji Wine. It’s been bottled at a cask strength of 53.6% abv without chill filtration or added colouring.
The nose is sweet with sugared almonds, caramel toffees and freshly baked gingerbread. On the palate, these flavours mingle with malt and maple syrup to create a whisky befitting of a Tokaji cask selection. Divine!
