Wolfburn distillery presents their inaugural core age-statement release, a single malt matured solely in hand-selected second-fill Oloroso sherry hogsheads for a whole decade. This sumptuous Highland expression allows the story of Wolfburn to unfold sip by sip, as you appreciate the dedication and passion that have culminated in this remarkable expression. Presented at 46% abv, free from chill filtration and at natural colour.
The nose is full of soft sherry sweetness, along with vanilla and oak, leading to a palate of chocolate covered raisins, caramel, sweet spice and charred oak. On the close, we find silky tannins coupled with a lasting fruity sweetness.
