Description
The very first limited edition release in Glen Scotia’s Icons of Campbeltown series celebrating tales of community spirit, The Mermaid recalls the many mermaid sightings on their shores. The 12-year-old single malt has been given a special finish in Palo Cortado sherry casks to reflect the rarity of a glimpse of a mermaid. Bottled at a cask strength of 54.1% abv, free from chill filtration and at natural colour.
Expect aromas of maritime salt crystals, boat varnish, and edible seaweed atop notes of tarte tatin, marmalade and tablet toffee. The creamy palate brings sweet French apple tart and a pinch of salt, before a long, warming and spicy finish.
