Description
The fifth and final release in the Founders Cask series by Kilchoman, this special release was chosen by the founder’s youngest son, Peter Wills. The expression was matured in two separate bourbon barrels for over 9 years, before being treated to a finish in a single Calvados cask for more than 2 years. Bottled at 54.8% abv, with just 517 bottles produced.
Expect a combination of ripe apples and pears and peat smoke on the nose, before a palate of spiced apple pie, honey, citrus and subtle smoke. Kilchoman’s signature briny tang comes through in the notably sweet finish.
